HOW IT WORKS
1. REGISTER FOR YOUR VIRTUAL RACE
Sign up online -- choose your distance and the cause you want to support with your run. Each race package contains a unique race bib, a custom event shirt and a finisher’s medal. You are contributing to a cause with a portion of your registration donated to a great charity! When you sign up, you also have the option to create a team name and then tell your friends, so they can join your team. Click the link below to register online. If you plan to participate, don't wait to register!
The deadline to guarantee a shirt with your registration is May 5, 2020. Please make your shirt selection carefully during online registration when you decide between a men's/unisex size or a women's size shirt in the drop down menu.
2. RACE PACKET
Your bib, shirt and medal will be shipped to you after you sign up. You do not have to wait for your bib to arrive to complete your race. Join the official Facebook Group, where you can post about your goals, share your progress and upload photos of you and your race swag!
Complete your run on your own time, at your own pace and wherever you like. Snap a few photos and then share on social media using #virtuallyrunningtogether to connect with fellow participants! We want to build our sense of community, positivity and togetherness in a time when we cannot come together in person at a typical running event.
4. SEND YOUR RESULTS

5. TAKE PHOTOS WITH YOUR MEDAL & SHARE YOUR RACE WITH US
We would love to hear about your race. Join the Facebook Event to add this event to your calendar & see who else is coming. Once you're registered, join the official Facebook Group to share your photos/videos/awesomeness/your thoughts on sloths and connect with fellow participants! Be sure to tag @eclecticedgeracing and use #virtuallyrunningtogether when you post, so that we can all stay connected!

VIRTUAL RACE DETAILS
The Sloth Trot encourages and celebrates your health journey, as you continue working toward your personal fitness goals with the support of the running community. Participating in a virtual race is a great way to motivate each other and hold each other accountable. This also encourages you to get active and enjoy time outdoors, while still respecting physical distancing.
Run (or walk) your chosen distance, at your own pace, whenever and wherever you’d like. The focus of this event is not largely on competition, rather on encouraging one another to continue to move and take care of ourselves, in whatever way that looks like for you. You can run, walk, jog, skip, stop and smell flowers -- it's all good! Encourage your friends to sign up with you as a team, agree on a time to run and then share your success with one another in the official Facebook group.
RUN OR WALK FOR A CAUSE
Help to raise money for a great cause! When you sign up, choose from one of the following charities that your run will benefit: Food For Lane County, American Red Cross, Direct Relief, Womenspace, Bridgeway House or Ronald McDonald House Charities of Oregon & Southwest Washington. Proceeds from this event will go directly to your chosen beneficiary.
Anywhere! Trail, road, cross country style – your choice. Preferably outdoors, but your treadmill works, too.
